Artist Statement
In Opening Up No. 3, I explore the quiet tension of re-engagement after isolation. The process of layering torn washi prints—gestural and raw—onto the original scroll mirrors the layering of personal and collective experience. This work, cut from the whole, speaks to how we emerged individually from a shared experience.
