Artist Statement
Opening Up #4 from my Opening Up Series where I express feelings of apprehension as our world starts to open up again as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. I made expressive gestural encaustic marks on the Roland HotBox and pulled prints with various washi papers. I tore papers collaging them onto the main scroll. I then cut the scroll into separate works.
