Artist Statement
The Whole Story is an abstracted landscape of motion and energy. Grounded in a rich underpainting and layered with encaustic wax, the surface carries bold mark-making, sweeping gestures, and luminous shifts of colour that echo the meeting of land and sky.
The painting unfolds like a story in chapters, layered one over another—some revealed, others concealed. Scraped passages expose traces of what came before, while fused textures and incised lines add new voices to the surface. Each mark contributes to the narrative.
