Have you ever seen such a perfect day?
I’m thrilled to announce that my painting Have You Ever Seen Such A Perfect Day? has been selected to be part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Encaustic Art in New Mexico (MoEA).
This painting is about a perfect summer’s day at the cottage. When I see this painting I think of my late father-in-law, I can hear him looking up at the blue sky on a sunny day asking me, Have you ever seen such a perfect day?.
With this painting I was also exploring ways to control encaustic texture. This encaustic technique is known as accretion. If you’re interested, I offer an online encaustic accretion course.
