Familiar Ground #1 is an exploration of memory, place, and the emotional imprint of landscapes. This encaustic mixed-media painting captures the essence of a familiar yet elusive terrain—one that exists in the space between recognition and abstraction. Layers of wax, pigment, and embedded textures create a richly tactile surface, inviting the viewer to engage with the painting both visually and sensorially.
