Artist Statement
Wasp nests are nature’s delicate yet resilient sculptures. Formed from a paper-like pulp, their precisely crafted hexagonal cells create an intricate structure that is both fragile and strong. In A Prayer, I shaped an encaustic vessel to cradle the nest, elevating it on a log pedestal like an offering—an act of reverence that honours its organic beauty and quiet strength.
